Being a Pitch Wars mentor has been so much fun the last couple of months. And I've been so busy I guess I forgot to post all about my choice, the lovely and talented Shelly Steig.

In my wish list I asked for funny middle grade novels. Shelly's Las Vegas caper FAUX REAL had me giggling on the very first page. I'm serious. There is a flying falsie and a chest hair toupee! I clutched that manuscript in my sweaty fingers and prayed that I would get to work on it. And my prayers were answered!

Shelly has been amazing to work with. She takes direction and criticism well. She has a great sense of humor and a positive attitude. She is the real deal, guys. You are gonna wanna remember her name!
